Bryan King 1937 - 2009
The club mourns this week the passing of Bryan King, a dear friend and active member of Bournemouth Oakmeadians RFC. He will be sadly missed by all of us who know him.
We are sure that we will miss his presence on the balcony and his cry of "come on Oaks" and of course the special relationship he had with the players, proving that with special people there is no age gap, particularly in rugby. Brian epitomised the friendship within the game of rugby and in a short space of time at Oaks made many many friends in many other clubs in the area.
On behalf of the club we would like to convey our sincere condolences to his wife Lynne, and four girls Lorraine, Jeanine, Sarah and Jo.
His funeral will take place on Monday 16th March at 1.30pm Bournemouth Crematorium, Strouden Avenue, Bournemouth.
It has been requested for no flowers but instead donations be made to Cancer Research
